Lore Fine jewelry is a curated showroom and working studio space in Oceanside, California, owned and operated by Olivia Sugarman. Preceded by her first custom jewelry business, Onyx Armory, established in 2018, Lore is a space to share the creative process and craftsmanship behind her work and other creatives’ work.

“My success as an artist is a reflection of the community support I’ve received. I am excited to host a space that makes the creative process, the artists behind it, and the incredible Oceanside community more accessible to each other.” 

Olivia grew up in her mom’s Northern California jewelry store. She started apprenticing under her in 2016, and has since had a number of teachers and mentors. Kindred to how Olivia learned the trade, the store’s name represents an exchange of tradition and knowledge. 

As a second generation jeweler, opening Lore is simultaneously a return to her roots–a physical space where she will be able to cultivate relationships and share knowledge–as well as the next evolution of her career. 

Lore features work from her line, Olivia Sugarman Jewelry, which focuses on gold pieces characterized by intricate detail, fine stone setting, and hand engraving.  

“My pieces are often cherished for years, and even passed through generations. I treat this as a huge honor, and responsibility, to create intentional and high quality jewelry. The other creatives featured in Lore share this same value, as well as the common goal of balancing respect for the history of a trade while also imprinting our unique style to make our mark in the space.”
